Phone Wallpapers and a Mid-Week Check In

Good morning! Just a little bitty midweek update!
Nothing crazy going on here. We had lamb chops earlier in the week. They were really good. Had hamburger steak one night. So I’m hoping the red meat goes well! So far so good.
Here’s a couple of phone wall papers for you if you desire. I’m using the current one. I’m saving the second one for February. This first one makes me laugh every time I open my phone. It’s been cute.

So THIS week is about getting those things done I could not do from home during snow week. Pretty much got that done Monday. Payroll was done Tuesday. Now I’m setting in to paying our weekly taxes, and the after payroll after-math. Then I will spend the next two days working on quarter end stuff. This week is critical. Still waiting on my Transport data because next week it’s payroll again and I’ll have to stop to focus on that. Mainly Thurs and Fri are my days to work on QE. We will do what we can and it just will be what it will be.
I’ve thought a lot about my retirement date. This month makes me want to make my last day Dec 20th, but I’m not giving notice yet, lol and it’s not for sure yet. I just know it stresses me out to work during Christmas week with family in town and then having to deal with quarter end, year end, snow and ice, pleas for everyone to still come into the office, etc – I just am ready to let all that go. So January is definitely making me want to NOT go through another one in the work force. But we will see. I mean why would I put myself through all this when I don’t have to?
So, anyway, Mom says she is going stir crazy. She told me that Monday. I told her she had a long week to wait since I am not going to see her until Sunday. Long days at work all week, plans at home for MY DAY OFF Saturday, and we can take her out on Sunday to church, out to eat and then the store or wherever she wants to go. She had a neighbor come over a couple of times and play cards during the cold snowy weather so that was good. I prayed she would be happy and not bored. The last thing I want to hear every day is how unhappy she is “being stuck” inside. But that was her choice to not go to church and get out Sunday and probably a wise one.
OK I’ve got to get my video started to upload on YouTube for the “Snow Week”. That should be a fun one for you, going up on Saturday. I was shocked this morning to have 308 subscribers now. Have a lot to do Saturday also at home. I’m removing the winter decor, and hopefully hanging new curtains if they arrive today. And putting out some Valentine, springy like decor, and filming my journey to 300 subscribers (starting my YouTube channel). I expect to get a lot of subscribers off of that video so I’m kinda nervous about it.
Ok off to work and focus on QE and YE activities. Oh and Mom keeps asking about her cleaning person. I was supposed to have gotten 3 quotes but I’ve not had time to focus on that. So I found some companies and their numbers and going to give them to her to call. She is sitting in the recliner all day with nothing to do so why not let her call and talk with them and decide. Hopefully she can handle that. If not it’ll have to wait til I can get a block of time because those are NOT quick calls. I have to do them during the day time. I guess I could knock off World Bible School for a week and do it at lunch if I had to, calling a company a day. But we’ll see if she can do it.
Here’s an example of my schedule. Crossing my eyes.

And I’m already running behind schedule this morning. I was an hour late getting to bed and needed to do a few things this morning, then got caught up doing this blog entry while waiting on my video to export. Now I am behind, but that is my life. Just chasing my tail around in circles to get everything done. Because I refuse to give up things that I want to do so that I can not just be everyone’s robot and still be a person!

Good morning, Sonya! My retirement date was about a week before Christmas too! I found it to be the perfect way to end the year and so nice to celebrate the holidays knowing I didn’t have to go through all that craziness at work – or ever go back. It was the best feeling in the world. I hope it does end up being that date for you!
Love the “hi” wallpaper and think I might use it. So cute!

Yeah sounds like a good date. Plus having a check in January pushes retirement eligibility further out as far as getting the first check.
