Blogmas Day 23 finds us with a wonderful day off. I slept in for an hour or so, fixed coffee, started the laundry, and fixed fruit baskets for some gifts we needed to deliver today.

I made the sausage balls and cleaned off the table and decorated it for Christmas Eve dinner which is now turned into lunch (more on that coming).
Katy called and we decided to meet at ML Rose for lunch. We made it fine. The roads were snowy/icy but it was kindof a dry type of ice and not the slippery kind we normally get. I imagine this to be much like the snows up north, and they always make fun of us southerner’s driving but our snows are much more slippery, I think, normally. Most of the main roads had good ruts in them. I think it only got up to 6 degrees and wind child was horrid.

It’s nice to have a snow when you look out the window, and to be all cozy inside. But the weather has wreaked havoc with our plans. We were going to spend more time with Katy and Cody but the weather kept us only meeting for lunch to get everyone back home safely and River down for his nap.
And just now we had to move our Christmas Eve dinner plans at 5:00 p.m. to Noon tomorrow. So now I will be rushed in the morning to get the salad made, the eggs finished and tea made, and vacuum. And now I will have to be cooking everything as George is going to have to go pick them up. Then George will have them back home and get home by dark. So kindof a weird timing rocking our plans but it is better than cancelling entirely or risking it after dark. I’m not sure of Christmas Day yet, but hopefully by brunch time on Sunday the roads will be clear so they can make it in.
I got quesadillas for lunch today. ML Rose, where we met Katy and Cody and Little Roo – mainly have burgers on their menu. For some reason I wasn’t too hungry and I had a fancy gourmet burger earlier in the week but I love ML Rose. The quesadillas looked good, so that is what I got. I developed an appetite as they arrived, lol. And corona with lime hit the spot.

George says I should make my stuff tonight, but NO, I’m done for the day. I don’t think it will take me long, I just won’t be able to pause for much in the morning when I hit the floor. But I’m ready to relax for the evening. So that is what I’m going to do.
At least the table is cleared off and set and that is half the battle. That was time consuming today. I had the floors nice until Dexter chewed up a thread toy and got threads everywhere.
Well, I am going to go read and just relax tonight. Hopefully Christmas is setting up for you guys as well. At least we can be flexible. But it does take some agreeing and figuring out a few things.
I did some vlogging today and that made me happy. I can’t wait to do more video editing and get started on the new year. I can’t believe Christmas is almost here either. I’m so glad I was off today. I can’t wait until retirement. To have the whole month of December off would be a dream. I can hardly contain myself thinking about it, lol.
Over and out.

Hi Sonya, I have been watching the terrible weather forecasts you are having and was very concerned for you all. I’m glad you’ve brought times forward and that at least Kate and Cody have made it home for Christmas I pray that everything will be ok tomorrow and things go well. Take care. God Bless you and all those you love. Xx. PS. It’s 1.40am I’ve been asleep a couple of hours but I’ve woken and don’t feel 100% am so checked my Mail and that’s why I’m on line so early. ❤️❤️
Feel better. Thank you and Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas Sonya. Stay safe and warm. I saw where you guys got snow. The wind here has been terrible. I had to pick up a few groceries today. I wore my heavy coat. And still the wind was cold. A
I made your sausage balls and they were good. We are having appetizers tomorrow.
I too have to get up early and fix my roast beef sliders and a few other things. Husband is making wings.
I hope you get to spend some more time with your daughter and little grandson. He is so cute and I know how bad you miss them.
A couple more days and things will get back to normal. I hope. This Christmas has been stressful for me.
Oh I’m sorry it’s been stressful. Thanks for commenting tonight. Keep warm, get some good sleep, and enjoy your days ahead.
Merry Christmas Eve, Sonya! I hope your revised plans go off without a hitch and the weather cooperates. Sending lots of love to you and your family this holiday. Your house looks so cozy and festive!
Thank you Mona and Merry Christmas to you. Our meal is about to happen soon. George has gone to get everybody since the roads are still a bit icy!
