Home and Loving on Fur Babes
The travel day went well. We had a slight but interesting detour through the woods, thanks to Waze, who led us around a long incident on the interstate. And it got us home with and hour and half to spare to pick dogs up! Dexter and Maddie were so happy to see us. Maddie has a cold I think. She’s either got a cold, allergies, or it’s her heart. Uncle Julio’s, Salty Dog, Fixing Leaks
We had a nice dinner at Uncle Julio’s with my sister and her family. If you know, you know, this is wonderful that my Mom and my sister and me can have a meal together again. I’m grateful that my sister agreed to meet again. We met at Thanksgiving and also Saturday in Brentwood, which is about half way. We ordered the guacamole at the table which was so good and creamy. It’s the nicest Mexican restaurant I’ve ever been to I think. And the fajitas were the best I’ve ever had. They were so good and uniquely grilled and larger pieces meat as well. So good. We have more snow on the radar heading our way. We have had some big flakes and then small flakes and then big flakes again. We have an advisory out and no mention of any further accumulation. We had some freezing rain yesterday that made our neighborhood streets very icy. I’m supposed to take Mom for a doc appt and work until then but we’ve decided to just reschedule because it’s dangerous over here and Mom has ice all over her sidewalks so we are not getting her out and I wasn’t driving on ice anyway.
