Managing Life with Grace and Ease….or Maybe NOT!

Good morning! Or evening, should you find yourself sitting under the moon at the time you read.

There is really NOT much to tell of these last two days. I’ve knocked the payroll out of the park and trying to catch up to the point where I should be in the week, if we had a 5 day work week instead of 4.

George fixed some lovely meals this week. And I discovered I had a smudge on my camera lens. We’ll pretend the food was hot and it was steam. lol

He fixed this awesome chicken sautéed in coconut oil. And fixed “filled” biscuits with a mushroom gravy and some sandwich meat we had. I have a tendency to buy sandwich meat as I often want a half sandwich. But I don’t always eat a lot of bread so we end up having leftovers. Not a problem though b/c SOMEONE sits around after I go to bed and eats such things as an extra snack and the fur babies might also get a bite. Some have been known to bark until a human gets up and gives them a nightly meat treat if one decides it is time to have “meat treat” and go to bed.

If any of you thought we ruled our own house, NO – the fur babies do.

I’ve made progress on the shower. The facebook invites when out yesterday morning as an addition since so many of the young ones use this. Facebook however does not do a good job with alerts on these things as I rarely notice when I get one or if someone updates in them.

Honestly I think I’m going to have to go in and revise my facebook notifications to a lot fewer notifications. I used to have more time to spend on FB but now that I’m getting all into the videos and YouTube, I just don’t have time to spend scrolling. But when I do go in I’d like to see certain posts and I don’t want to miss important ones. So I need to adjust my settings. There will be no more of those posting political posts either, or people who just post article after article, or just repost 14 things they have seen others post all day long. There is nothing wrong with that, so don’t get me wrong, but I am kinda over all that stuff just because you don’t really know what is truth or not.

Anyway, I guess what I’m trying to say is I want to know how people are. I’m wanting to see if someone is hurting or upset, or joyous over some good news. I want to be a part of their real lives, not so much their political views or their passing along of daily information. I just need a way to sort through to the personal stuff. So that will be hard to do as so many people post both. But I think Facebook also has a way to layer that. We’ll see. I don’t even have time to redo my Facebook right now. lol But it’s on the list.

I’m in the mode of trying to begin new Instagram, Twitter, and so forth for the integration of blog, vlog and all of those platforms. Boy that takes time. I also have to figure out how to get a link on instagram. Maybe you can only post video and pics to the feed and links in the stories. I have NO idea. I just want the blog/vlog to have it’s own account and keep my personal separate. I also have to connect them here. I’ll let you know as I get them converted. Then you can follow if you so desire. My goal? I want 100 subscribers on YouTube. That is the first goal anyway. Then there will be others.

I figured out yesterday that I think I just have to have a challenge before me to work on. A fun challenge, of something I enjoy. Not an impossible work challenge thing. I mean I think that kept me occupied for a while though – the impossible work load stack. I kept trying and then figured out I didn’t want to be in a ever growing snowball going downhill anymore. lol. So this has been fun and I’m excited to see where it goes. There is a LOT of room for improvement and learning and I’m excited about that. Also kinda scared to death too. At least it’s not live. I can cut parts out. lol

Well, I do want to say “thank you, thank you, thank you” for your support on the first Vlog post. Your comments meant so much to me. I appreciate your watching and for those that subscribed, I thank you. I think I only have 4 as of today. :-(. But it’s ok. I know that there are blog readers and video watches – and usually they are different folks. Not necessarily both.

I often have heard repeatedly that not to be surprised – you think family and friends will be your subscriber base but it ends up being a whole new family of people in the video realm. So at least I was not overly disappointed that there were only 4 in the first day. It’s totally good. I’ll get there. There is no negative talk. It will happen. I just have to incorporate value into the videos. Like “here’s 5 ways to _______” so that the search engine optimization (SEO) can be tapped into. I’ll figure it out. I’ve started making lists of what that would be. If you have any suggestions let me know.

I figure to take the things I’m learning and discovering and sharing them. Things I already talk about and just turn them in to a bullet list. How hard can that be? Only filming them. So I want to film some in my office at home. I have to work on the lighting and the setting. Not much but a bit. It was suggested to keep 12 topics always at hand so you can be working on those thoughts. I’ve got my EVERNOTE going so I can be organized and keep my thoughts going there. My best time for being the brainstormer is in the morning. I’m always having things pop into my head and so I jot them down on paper and at the happy hour time when I get home, I jot them into Evernote on the iMac. I guess I should do 5 quick tips on organizing your week. Gosh that is a broad topic, but I guess I could just do 5 here and 5 there and 3 over yonder. And just keep going with it. Those are things that have been details I’ve shared here all along, just not in bullet version. I love talking about new apps and such. I do have to check and see if there is any copyright issues though if I talk about other apps and such in the videos. I would think it’s ok if it’s good. Not so much if bad. I have so much to learn.

And right now it’s time for me to get ready and head on in to work. Kinda running about 15 min late so I need to hurry now. Geez.

Ya’ll have a good one. Back in a day or so.

    Good morning!
I don’t have twitter, Instagram or facebook. Can you believe that?
I read tons of blogs & comment on very few, less than a handful.
I use to love to write. Now I mostly read. It’s 9/11 related I believe, but that’s a whole ‘nother story.
Anywho, I await your next vlog. You’re a natural 🤗

I just got your blog on my new computer. It did nto pull over my favorites as I thought it should. The system has told me that most of my passwords have been lost and I could not subscribe to your blog as I could not access my Google account. I will be getting that figured out and subscribe. I did enjoy your video and looking forward to more. We are opening up some here but not full yet. Did get to the beauty shop and got my maniipedi. Strange times a lot of people are not venturing out yet. Have not gone to a restaurant where we could not be seated immediately. No waiting.

Yes a new computer will do that! Even a new browser. You may have the reset all of them.

It makes my day when I hear from you…
